The fact that when important buildings and edifices are maintained, a lot benefit from the history and its character left for the new generation to marvel. Montreal, a 5 hour train ride (not counting the Via Rail delays) from Toronto, is the best example of the counterpoint of the Old and the New and their interplay so seamless that people can be at awe to both. The walking tour courtesy of, ironically, old and new friends was well appreciated. The history behind every structure can't be provided no better than from the first-hand explanation of true Montreal friends. ******* First and third shots in the series, shot with a Lomo LCA. << |
