Niagara Falls Canadian Side, September 2005 I guess that wouldn't work. Someone would leave. Someone always leaves. Then we would have to say good-bye. I hate good-byes. I know what I need. I need more hellos."- Snoopy Soon, Mamarazzi and Paparazzi will be sailing home. UPDATE: I kept my ducts in check this morning. I was placid and tried to look normal as I saw Paparazzi and Mamarazzi ascend the escalator to the xray machines. I still can see the last pictures (yet to be published here) that I had requested to be developed at Costco's neatly held by Mama and her other hand waving back. I wasnt really a "wave back" guy, but today I did. The drive home was not as good. It was hard driving while continually biting my lower lip til it turned white and try to continue keeping myself in check. And then I heard Dido's song on the radio. My wife and I know "Thank You" just swells the ducts and the song just rips apart any guy who thinks The Cure's "Boys Don't Cry" is their personal anthem. I got lost and what was supposed to be a 15-minute drive from LAX to Marina del Rey became some 15-minutes in front of the beach with my Canon shuffling back and forth through all the images in its memory. Shucks. I'm biting my lips again.... ******* Was it just awhile ago when they arrived? It's been 24 days and it won't be for some time before we'd be together, again. << |
