Photo Friday: Complexity (Ontario 2005) "Reduce the complexity of life by eliminating the needless wants of life, and the labors of life reduce themselves." • I've stopped looking at life as a race. I see it now as a walk in the park allowing time for me to smell the roses, to hear birds chirping whispering for you to take a gander. • I've stopped searching for the best. No, I haven't settled, nor sold out, but became contented with what life has to offer. • I've eliminated the attachments in life, they're just added load in my walk. No brand-new cellphone, no big plasma TV, no gas guzzling SUV, just the simple joys in life. • I've made peace with myself, that every night before I sleep, I made sure I didn't make enemies, nor judged or maybe allowed any ill thoughts against my neighbor. What can those things do to me? Negativity just adds more white to my already salt and pepper colored hair. What's surprising is that when we empty ourselves from the complexities of life, it allows more blessings to come and more peace to regain the place originally set in that space. Have a happy, simple yet meaningful weekend! << |
