"You couldn't see a thing", was what I told my wife upon my initial gander at the apartment window. It was all white, as if our room was floating in the clouds. We had an 8:30 Sunday mass (we wanted to start the week with a Thanksgiving mass), a promise to walk from the church to our breakfast place and a thanksgiving brunch with our hosts. So fog alert or not, we pushed through with all the plans. We were rewarded with a good homily, a great walk and a sumptuous meal treat for Jo's family, our generous hosts when we arrived in Canada 4 months ago. So we had satisfied the soul and the body. We watched the Superbowl,, which was good exercise for our minds on what the heck the game was all about and decided to sleep early, instead, which became our real gratification to mind's first week at work for wife. << |
