From the low rise apartments of Santa Monica and the blue beaches of Hermosa and Manhattan Beach, we drove to Vegas. Did it with a handwritten but effective copy of a Google map. We didnt feel impaired as we conquered the roads. How can one lose his way if the roads go straight to the real oasis in the middle of the desert? More incredible than that, was our Papa Rhante and Mama Nita being so gracious to agree to our intrusion with only less than a day to prepare. We got to see a school play which turned out to be a surprise with the professional handling and acting. It was more than like a school play as it got me dancing ala-Grease lightning even while being seated. We prepared our walking shoes as we started "Stripping", rather walking the strip at the stroke of midnight and ended several tens of dollars poorer albeit with our eyes feasting with all the bright lights of the desert city.

We were home at 3am, but were still wide awake with the imaginary flashing of lights still blinding our eyes, and massaging our varicosed-legs from all the walking. Imagine - we walked from New York and Paris to Italy in 3 hours.
