Lately, phonecams have flooded the market. It has made instant chroniclers for a lot of people and has augered mobile photoblogging another layer to the craft.

Just last week, I was witness to a milling crowd welcoming the funk band, Black Eyed Peas, with Panasonics and Nokias instead of Canons, Nikons or Kodaks.

Its versatility does not end at taking snaps of celebrities (which more often than not ends in blurred results due to movement - both for the one being shot at but also with the jostling of the crowd) but lately I've found the phonecam very useful for showing the beauty of a place and sharing it with loveones. (most of my shots I've shared with my wife to tell her how I wish she was there to see it with me)

On one hand, I've heard of wives asking their spouses to get a snapshot of where they are and under the guise of sharing the beauty of the place, to send them a copy of the image. Of course that's bad news for ~~two-timing~~ playful boyfriends or spouses, right?

Shopping for someone and showing how it looks like has made some people behind-the-desk shoppers. I saw someone on the grocery floor taking a shot on a branded feminine napkin. Noticeably uneasy where he is and itching for a decision whether belt-less or with wings, grooves or unscented, from his wife, he moved inconspicuously from the feminine shelves to something more "manly".

At P 5.00 per image sent, multi-media messaging is going to be next best thing, if it's not already - right now.
