White Christmas in Toronto Not Certain
Toronto, Canada (December 2004)

22 times in the last 49 years. That's the number of White Christmases Toronto has had since 1955. This morning you'd think that it'd be a cinch for another white one this weekend. But with rains coming down later this afternoon, chalk up another cold and rainy day this 25th.

Bummer.

I've always dreamt of white christmases. Back home, stretched cotton balls adorn our plastic Christmas tree and plastic icicles hang on some branches. Our tree would have that extra pine scent although the polysterene odor is still more recognizable . We spray our office windows with that white paint that can easily be taken off by a wet cloth. And kids have those icicle stickers on their kitchen window pane, to their mom's consternation.

Every trapping just to make us feel close to having a white one.

Hopefully this time, my dream for a white christmas, will come true.

While I dream about a white christmas, I also pray that it doesn't snow this much to make it such a bad day for some.
