Big Fish Scarborough Big Fish! That's what I said when I snapped this picture as it resembled the artwork on the cover of the movie "Big Fish". I also wanted to talk about being a big fish, well in a small pond, that is, my office. I wanted to gripe about work and how things are turning out, and how I don't feel motivated by people in the office, that all my plans and recommendations are falling on the wayside, and that nothing beats going home at 6pm. One thing that makes me wake up early enough. Guess what? I have my wife with me in the morning up to midway the subway line. She's also up at 6am and with me running after the 646am bus. She walks beside me to the subway to Toronto at 7am and with me until she goes down at Yonge at 730. Well.....at least that's one thing to wake up to.... Why's she awake so early nowadays? She's got work too!...And she's a big fish in a big ocean. Galeng di ba! ****** We prayed hard for it. We laid our plans for His approval. "Lord, by February, our well will be dry and that we will have to pull out some more money from our savings." Of course, despite my work, which I mentioned was for Canadian experience, we only had enough purse to last til June this year, granting our burn rate will be the same from the time we arrived. To cut to the chase, He gave my wife work a day before February. Moreover, the good Lord blessed me with consulting work that I can do at home for at least some elbow room to recoup past months' expenses. Our prayers were answered, all within one week before February! Truly, God really knows what's best for us. << |
