I'm coming out.

No, not the coming out you're thinking. Not because I wait up for "Queer Eye" every Wednesday or watch American Idol, the Oscars, or jeer the Bachelorette, Jen Schefft, for not choosing any of the 25 guys she handpicked from the start.

I'm coming out.

Not from any closet, but from the apartment room to breathe some fresh air. I need to talk to someone, the George Burns look-a-like in the elevator, or the Korean guy behind the video rental shop. I need to see some people, feel some warmth other than the apartment's heater. I need to just be out of the room.

Despite the almost day long falling snow, despite the more than 30-centimeters of snow outside, I'm coming out.

I needed a break.
