Zzzzzzzzzzzzz Toronto, Canada (March 2005) Boring. That is music these days. No Natalie Merchant, no 10,000 Maniacs, no Depeche Mode, no John Mayer, no Barbie's Cradle, nothing. It makes me wonder why I always drag my feet and gravitate to HMV, Sunrise Records, or Sam's when all I get are $ 6.95 Best of A Flock of Seagulls CD, which I have on vinyl back in Manila. Just because. Here are my favorites right now, but not "raving" favorites: 1. Tori Amos - the Beekeeper (Mark likes it too) 2. Sarah Harmer - All of Our Names 3. Sarah Slean - Day One Boring.... ******* Instead of making music, musicians are making news: Here's Lil Kim being accused of perjury. Of course, there's Jacko too. Why don't they all be like P Diddy? ******* Another 349 Without much new music that interest me, we've turned to American Idol to entertain us. Last night was one of the best shows, 11 of those that are left are future record label artists. They could easily have won last year's American Idol - hands down. Unfortunately, all the millions of votes last night - werent counted due to a typo error. So, they're all singing again tonight!!!! weird, noh? (Update: They didnt sing again, the whole show was a replay of last night, what a waste of time for a $%#%% show) Someone from Cingular earned a lot, or probably got booted out, who knows. Millions of votes mean like millions of dollars earned for nothing. ****** I'll probably turn off music right now. We used to do that when we were kids. No loud music during Holy week. No $%%$^ American Idol voting too. << |
