Tabing Ilog Elora, Ontario (May 21 2005) All good things must come to an end - and that includes a 3-day weekend. 3 great places, in fact more, were visited the past weekend. Including St. Jacob's Market, a popular Mennonite Farmer's Market and Elora Gorge (see above pics, more pictures here). Both were an hour-drive from Mississauga. A good way to test the newly blessed car, Trixy. The next day was spent with the Arduo's visiting 3 great places: Steak and Stones at Forks of the Credit: where we spent the beautiful day skimming stones and having chicken pork adobo and steak (amongst many food) for lunch. The day was fun filled, replete with colorful bubbles, climbing a viewpoint to see the Grand River and more hiking in a place that is close to the heart of Canadians - nature. Humps Ahead at Cheltenham Badlands: what will you do if by chance you happen to see a different set of humps on the side road? We stopped and just walked like gymnasts on terra-cotta colored giant balance beams in this weirdly formed land on the eroded roads of Cheltenham. It was goodtime spent in the badlands! Fireworks at Canada's Wonderland: Yes, we celebrated our First Victoria day as most Canadians do, the Pinoy way! - with good food with great newly-introduced Pinoy friends as hosts, a cold bottle of beer and a 15-minute display of fireworks, it was a perfect ending to a great weekend - ending it with a blast, literally. Monday was spent resting and recalling the weekend that was. Hoping for more long weekends in the future! **** There are 3 more entries with 3 pictures each. I hope you wont miss it, Click left side of the pic to check 'em out << |
