Dining and "Wining" (Jamie Kennedy Bar, Toronto 2005) One of the best proofs of friendship happen during a shared meal. Imagine the "Last Supper", or observe how movies and TV show happy families and friends partake in a meal, enjoy it and leave the table not just fed by great cuisine and the gastronomy of varying dishes, but also the experience of sharing both bread and life and most of all their - time, treasure and talent. This past weekend was no different. Mitzi and I spent time evaluating next months' plans over an endless meal of fusion cuisine, which we continued on from the resto, took home the food, to continue "our date" in the apartment. We teethered too on the brink of hauling our excitable palates to the Taste of Danforth, a Greek Food fest, but decided that we wanted some soft music and quiet time instead. Talk about a couple who both love eating and talking! Sunday, was spent in partaking in the Holy Sacrament of the Mass, as well as time with friends over pizza and great home cooking never realizing that time wasn't always enough between friends. Suddenly, the weekend was over again. ****** Forget about Atkins or South Beach. There's a new way to diet - lying. Fool yourself to thinking you had problems eating this type of food when you were a kid. Ill choose bittergourd, okra and eggplant over any other. Ok, ok, I never really ate them....ok what about, "I saw pictures of the headless KFC chicken in an email a few years ago..." or "Jollibee burgers were made from cultured worm". I don't think it works. I'm buying KFC later for lunch...hehe << |
