The Pond : (scene for Home Alone 2, I think) The Bridge : (scene for Autumn in New York, yata) The Field : (scene for Wall Street, hmmmm) Times Square (scene for Vanilla Sky, amongst others). If you look close enough, there's a sign of Bubba Gump on the top right part of the pic. Enough with movies, its time to watch some great Broadway play Angels whisper to a man when he goes for a walk. - Raymond Inmon." These two are made of sterner stuff. They only have less than 72 hours in the Big Apple. Even less than that as 24 hours will be spent in the Garden State. Paparazzi and Mamarazzi had a personalized walking tour of Central Park (just 1/8th of it) and Times Square before seeing the chandeliers fall on Broadway's Phantom of the Opera. Along the way, we identified the movies we thought were shot in those places. ("When Harry Met Sally", "It Could Happen To You", Bethesda Fountain being the scene for "Ransom" and "One Fine Day"). We finished the day perked up (thanks to Starbucks along 8th Avenue) and wanting a ride home. Getting one took us 20 more minutes and a few shoulder bumps from a thousand and one pedestrians. Ironically we got our long-sought after cab at Times Square where at least thousands of people were raising their arms wanting to get every yellow colored vehicle in sight. That's when we realized - aha - Welcome to New York City! << |
