Police Car wheezing by This Must Be A Car or A Man with a Lit Cigarette on Skateboards? The Ubiquitous New York Yellow Cabs in a race The Philippine Embassy in New York 5th Avenue, Manhattan, October 17, 2005 We were guests at the Philippine Consulate as part of the delegation of Philippine companies who have been pumping much-needed dollars to the coffers of the country via outsourcing. It didn't take us that long to realize that we indeed have gone a long way from just merely sending good people abroad to work, typically calling it "Brain Drain" to now, having them stay in the Philippines but still provide global services. Close to calling it "Brain Retain". But this Newsweek article thinks otherwise. They might be right. Who else among the Third World countries can have such distinct honor? ***** Where did the time go? Don't tell me its already 2/3 finished? I mean, October was just here, and now it's almost bidding us goodbye? Here's hoping you're having a grand time... << |
