(well, at least in our part of the world!). It's not just us who needs a splash, but also our cars too. Thanks to the gasoline points we've earned, we were able to treat Trixy, our car, to a free shower! woohoo! ******* The picture above can be submitted to mirror project where I was regularly submitting since 2002 (here's a sample from 2004). It's been a year since my last submission. My bubble pic made it recently. ******* When we were younger, we all wanted to enjoy summer : beach, barbecue, books, 60 days of bliss and being away from school. There were also another set who look at summer as a period to earn money. In our household we did both. My sister and I would sell ice candy, in different flavors from mango to buko, and sometimes we'd experiment with melon milk. As in any Pinoy business venture, everyone on the same street did and tried the same thing. So we moved up to concocting our own halo halo. That had to go to the same route of being killed by copycats. But being first to market, we were able to generate enough to place in our Happy Savers Club accounts. :) ******** Starting Em Young Canada, via StatCan says that 62-66% of Canadian youths (15-24 years old) are employed for summer jobs yearly. This data is only for those who intend to go back to school after summer. Some can even pay off their books and other matriculation from their summer job pay. An average of $ 150 to 250 per week for 8 weeks = $ 1,200 to $ 2,000.
