Loooong Weekend Toronto to Cape Cod Do you like the thrill of the unknown? like buying a dress and not fitting it? Maybe? But not close. Like shooting with film vis-a-vis digital? Probably. I don't. I like to plan things and expect things to happen as planned. And when it doesn't - I have Plan B. So just last week, we realized July 3 was a Canadian holiday, and July 4 was a US holiday, we both decided to go somewhere different. Cape Cod. • Because Cape Cod is all about the light, I'm bringing the Lomo LCA (from the graveyard) and using Holga (the original film is still inside, 8-shots old). But I'll take the same shots using a Digital Camera to be sure. • If it rains, we have back up plans of not seeing the fireworks...or we have other plans. I dont know yet. But we will. • Lastly, even if the trip is rained out, the beaches are full of people, or there is traffic all around - there's no problem. As long as I'm with Mitzi, in the Tagalog parlance, everything is SOLB na SOLB. See yeah..enjoy the weekend. ******** The last week of school ended yesterday, Canada Day is July 1 and US Independence Day is July 4. All in all, school's out, parents are on vacation = great family fun. Where's your family going this weekend? ******** Almost 40 years ago on July 4, 1966 - was the infamous Beatles' concert in Manila - that never happened. Here's the account. << |
