The City Underneath our Feet CN Tower(September 2004) Today, we turned on tourist mode and visited one of the 7 wonders of the Modern World - the underground path maze of Toronto. Just kidding, we visted the CN Tower. Just for you to know: o the CN Tower's base is 22 feet in diameter o its full name is Canadian National Tower, and it is used as an antenna for TV and radio o aside from being the tallest free standing structure, it also holds the record for the longest metal staircase and the highest wine cellar o there are 4 viewing decks, the Glass Floor, the Horizons Cafe, 360 the revolving resto and the Skypod. It takes 58 seconds to go up 346 meters where we had a towering ice cream cake merienda o the Glass Floor is totally made of glass and it's useless to tiptoe back to the carpetted areas since the whole floor really is - as i said - made of glass o there are more than 2 million people who visit the CN Tower annually, almost the same number of tourists to the Philippines in 2003 **** Viajero was also at the CN Tower! << |
