I may end up having withdrawal symptoms if I don't step on US soil in November. At least this year, I was able to.

For 3 of the last 4 years, its coincidental and at the same time oddly enjoyable to know that I've visited 3 great places in the US without fail - 3rd Street, Vegas strip and Manhattan Beach.

3rd Street in Sta. Monica is my catharsis. I walk in its streets with no trouble, no problem in mind. Blank. I enter favorite stores (BN at the end of the lit street, Tower, Borders, Adidas and Puzzle Zoo Toys) for my quick fixes.

Vegas strip is getting out the kid in me and being fascinated with the lights, the rides, the people, practically everything. Why people go to the middle of the desert to find this temporary happiness in bars and casinos, is the biggest question i always have in mind.

Manhattan Beach is the place for the soul. Quiet, tranquil and just staring at and hearing the lapping waves of a body of water we share with the home land. I love going here and to just be there.

For the mind, body and soul, these 3 places top my list whenever I chance upon visiting the US in November.
