Around Rathburn Mississauga,Canada (April 2005) Second and Third Pics filed under "Signs of the Times" With the great weather (which we can safely say is here to stay) we've been spending a lot of time walking around the neighborhood. I need the exercise while we also look at it as spending less in bus fares and waiting time too. Add to it is the bonus of great sights to the mall, to church and the enjoyment of couple discussions while walking... Last Saturday, instead of forking out $2.25 for a 3-minute bus ride, we walked from our apartment to the nearest mall. We practically owned the street with our boiseterous laughter and unadulterated freedom of speaking in our native tonque, knowing no one would bother to understand. Coming home was a different thing. As always, what we saved in our bus ride, was converted to more shopping. We needed to ride the bus on the way home as we were carrying 3 bags on each hand. ******* Today starts the conclave for the new Pope. I can imagine how hard it is to keep news and updates on the goings-on inside Sistine Chapel. This is the first time in 26 years that Technology will indeed come to play and that the Vatican security will indeed be tested. Let's pray for its success and the election to be non-violent. (as if this was an ordinary Philippine election, eh?) << |
