It's your choice. 35% of the population is poor and 20% live on less than $ 1.00 a day, but poverty has fallen more in the last 50 years than in the previous 500 years. 370 million have a life expectancy of less than 50 years, but life expectancy has doubled since 1900, up 35% since 1950. 875 million adults are illiterate (29% of world's adult population) but literacy rate has doubled since 1970s, 80% literacy in 1980, only 5% in 1900. They say there are 815 million malnourished kids, but infant mortality has fallen by 33% since 1970. To cross a street, we must look at the left, and right, and just the same to solve our problems, we need to see both sides. They say, that "if you choose to see only the negative, you weaken yourself, you become a cynic and a pessimist. If you see only the positive, you end up wishing instead of doing, and set yourself up for failure." The choice to see the world half empty or half full is our choice and our own doing. The problems of the world are real BUT solvable.
