 West Point - the Military Academy of the US  After all the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, its time to be more at peace with ourselves. More pics for the soul here.  Another view of the Hudson River from West Point. How serene...  Great men, like Gen McArthur, George Patton, Dwight D Eisenhower, Fidel Ramos and Roilo Golez graduated from here. What a peaceful place for people being prepped for war  Memories of CMT and CAT days...ops, I just gave my age away...  The afternoon was spent for the soul - a retreat at a sanctuary for the Lady of Fatima in suburban Jersey  No taxis, no rush, no bright lights, no big city. Ahhhh, great time to relax tired feet and frayed nerves:) Away from the City (New Jersey, June 2005) • We got intrigued with comments from Vangie and Tin and saw "Hitch" (vs. Million Dollar Baby) for our DVD night. "Uy, we were just there." as we got giddy seeing familiar places like Ellis Island, Wall Street's Bull statue and the steps of the Met come out of the screen one by one. Even the fishy smelling Fulton Fish House was were we gave our 2 slices of pizza to a man from the streets, scrounging for lunch in cans and boxes. • Then it hit us, that if we were one week late with our plans, we wouldn't be as happy and excited (and maybe secure) as how we felt last week. • Let's continue to pray for peace. Now 7/7 is not such a lucky number after all. By the way, did you know that the Madrid Bombing (March 11) was exactly 911 days after 9/11? I didn't...but now we know., rather, its not so nice to know, some people have a lot of time in their hands to even check. July (4 letters) 7 = 11. owkay, parang pinilit ko.
