Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall ...the mother of all outlet malls! Mother of all Outlet Malls (New York, July 2005) • Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall has got to be the Mother of all Outlet Malls. Well for me it is. It's the only one I enjoyed walking around for close to 4 hours without getting tired plus the merchandise's prices are not low because the trend has been passe or that stocks are too old, they're just very very good! Here's where our cards were maxed out. • I never liked shopping. I said it before, and I'll say it again: I see it as a destination (while my wife sees it as a journey). If you need something, get it, pay for it and leave. Apparently, even I, succumbed. Friday, we went to the Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall in Elizabeth, NJ and Saturday, we spent another 4 hours in Woodbury. I guess, I almost equalled the purchases of my wife this time. But apparently most of them weren't for me. • The last two nights were spent with our cousins and what a blast we had. Thursday night was a dinner tendered in a crab place. Apparently, both cousin and I were allergic to seafoods, but then again...if I'm not getting some Atlantic ocean seafood here in Jersey, when will I have a chance?...so..... • Definitely a first. In the middle of our Friday night movie, after the Newark, NJ scene of Tom Cruise's War of the Worlds, in the midst of all the ruckus and the debris falling from the first (and only) great scene in the movie....the theatre's emergency alarm rings...and we were sent out for close to 40 minutes waiting for what's next...apparently, no rush, no panic ensued...so no stampede, only big jokes flying that the movie was becoming too realistic. Besides, the movie was shot close to the neighborhood. Apparently, the emergency exiting was the highlight of the movie. << |
