Los Angeles Lakers vs. San Antonio Spurs Los Angeles, California I jinxed the Lakers again. My fifth time to see the Lakers play live turned out with the same results as the previous four games. From nosebleed seats :), for the past 5 years, every game ended with nary a flag waving nor loud ruckus celeb with high fives and loud yalps. Rather there was quiet, somber mood and a slow funeral walk towards the exits of the coliseum. Despite Kobe's 43 points, 4 straight three pointers and his game long heroics, his play wasnt supported much by his teammates. We all know that basketball is a team game and even if you score 5 or 55, the only thing that matters is that you played a clean game and got a win. Sabagay, Kobe's teammates were used to watching him shoot and not receive passes from him. ******* Odds and Ends: • As I was looking at my Kodak Theatre pic and the link to a Laker Game live viewing, I realized that the sweatshirt in those pics and what I'm wearing as I write this entry - is one and the same. :) • Last Sunday, we had Trixy's windshield replaced due to stone chip crack which was irreparable. It was just 4 months ago that we had it replaced. This morning, as I was cleaning my rented car's windshield, I happen to see a stone chip as well. Weird. I've been driving in the Philippines for 18 years and I havent had a stone chip and in 4 months time, had 2 windshield glass replaced and is driving one that has it. << |
