Yawn - the best Power of Suggestion

When we look at the eyes of a child, do you know whether you're the one looking at him? or he 's the one sizing you up? In the case of the picture, I think I was being boring, or might have missed a visit to my dentist.

"A yawn is a silent shout that says - BORING!"

So you've done it as an experiment with your siblings inside the car while you were in a roadtrip, or in a board room to test who really is bored or not, - you've tried to yawn and see who yawns after you.

They say it is the best board room epidemic. Is it? We'll see later. Researchers have actually concluded that it is not because one is bored or tired that we yawn, but because we want to be alert and ready.

The common wisdom is that people yawn because they need oxygen, but the researchers at the University of Albany in New York said their experiments showed that raising or lowering oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the blood did not produce that reaction. (BBC News)

And as to why we yawn when we see the other person yawn? - there's no scientific explanation to that, but merely being the result of the Power of Suggestion.

Let's see if you won't yawn looking at these pictures.

It is not a sign of rudeness, it is merely a body function that we all need to do. Just remember that we should do it when there there are no cameras nearby. Too late for these celebrities to have known that.
