Homerun! Mississauga, ON, Canada One of the most rewarding phases in a Father's life is being able to play with your lil kid. Good thing Gab loves sports and has a mean baseball homerun pose and a football porma kick. This rekindles my time spent with Paparazzi. I remember when we played H-O-R-S-E in the backlot Basketball court and "Beinte Uno" and he will be so generous as to always make me win...or maybe I truly deserve the win. Those precious moments are nothing but memories right now for me and I intend to do the same with Gabby. As I type this from a distant place in LA, I realize that I'd probably be more lethargic had it not been for his invitation to play outside, run to the playground, or ask for time to be pushed in his small motorbike. Last Sunday, Gabby ran amok in our nearby mall and I was panting from shortness of breath everytime I had to jump to grab him from going down the escalator or reaching out to the nearest display. I know I am not in my most perfect fitness nor am I fit to be able to sustain the physical strain of Fatherhood. That's why I'm committing myself to a regimen. Exercise and be fit. There will be no targets as to the number of sit ups daily nor the miles ran every morning. The only objective is to keep up with the growing boy and make sure that there will be NO shortness of breath at the end of the day! This week has been a big break for me...I pity Michele who's left alone at home doubling as runner, gymnast, weight lifter, and everything that Gabby wants his daddy to be....ah, I forgot, he loves horsy - horsy....thus the backpains lately :) Ahhhhh..... << |
