Yawn! Ziggy, Las Pinas, Philippines I should never feel this way since I have so much on my plate. But when you are cooped up in the house by yourself - you feel the slight pangs of winter blues. At 12 noon and I'm still in my jammies, resisting all the self-cajoling to change to something more decent. Maybe even duplicate my prior week, seeing myself going to the gym, which was like 4 out of the 5 days last week. If I can't even get excited about the TV or the DVD or the ref for me to open, then yes, I'm officially bored and tired of winter. Suffice to say I never get excited by seeing nothing but white and thinking of what time I'll be shoveling. It's only been 16 days since we arrived and 2 snowstorms, 3 freezing temps alerts, and a 4-foot snow bank in front of the house - and yes, we're still 3 months to go before Winter says its swan song. And I'm bored.
************** Ok, some things to look forward to (this is the best way to take the doldrums out) 1. Jan 19 - Cleveland vs. the Lakers - Bron vs. Kobe 2. Jan 20 - the Inauguration (please pronounce the 2nd and 3rd syllables well, or I'd sock it to you) 3. Jan 21 - Bible Study re-starts 4. Feb 4 - Lakers in Toronto 5. Feb 5 - Flight back to Manila Looking at the list, gives me a bit of excitement. But nothing compared to looking forward to 6pm, when my wife gets back home... ****** I saw this last week when it was viewed by less than 10,000. Now it is at 3 million views. (Talk about people getting bored) Let's add 80 more today, and try imagining being in New York and seeing different underwears in the morning. hehe Lastly, you know the world is conspiring with your condition - when the only thing that pumps me up on a daily basis - the NBA Top 10 plays of the day - can't even give you 10 good plays - but 5....what's wrong with the world? huhuhuh Barack, tomorrow - and for the next 4 years - don't fail us...please. << |
