Nature : The Great Equalizer Dear Reader, We take timeout today to give way to what I personally consider as the greatest equalizer of our time - Nature. I'm sure you've heard or read of what's happening to Central Eastern Europe. Although we may come from a third world country, and yes, we do experience the same thing, almost every time it rains, practically every month, every year. The only gesture I personally thought of was saying a prayer to those who have lost a family member, lost their house, lost their source of income, not to war nor not to man made causes. It is the simple gesture that I feel our brothers in Central and Eastern Europe will feel that we are one with them, at least in prayer. But in case, just in case, even from the deepest deep (no pun intended) of our pockets we can pull out 4 Euros (approximately P 200.00), all these will add up to something. I know that the Philippines has far greater problems, but isn't it that true love is giving something with nothing in return. Here is the link, click on International donations, for any amount that you can donate. Your 4 Euros, my 4 Euros, and others' 4 Euros will add up to something. Let's call this Four Euros For Europe. Your prayers this moment will mean a lot too. Say a little prayer after you read this. German Red Cross link and images were taken from www.cnn.com |
