Day 9: Easter Sunday Click Thumbnails to Appreciate Images
Christ is risen! Its Easter Sunday and we are on the last swing of our 10-day trip to Southern Spain. Mitzi and I normally make it sure that we hear mass in every city that we visit, and what better time to hear thanksgiving mass than on Easter Sunday in the Cathedral of Seville. Although we extended due to some flight issues with our airline, our friend, Amy, left as scheduled. Still it was a blessing in disguise as we had a slow day around Seville, breathing fresh air from Plaza Nueva, more Moorish palace with a visit to the Real Alcazar, aimlessly roaming Barrio Sta. Cruz and pizza delivery to boot for dinner. Oh yes, we changed hotels for this extension. This time, unintentionally we booked a 4-star room in the new part of Seville. Our taxi fare was a friggin' 14 Euros (730 Pesos for a 15-minute ride). But as a couple who can find comic relief from any tragedy, we saw the silver lining from the dark cloud. Instead of time going back to the old part of Seville we were able to afford a long and quiet walk with our chatting and laughter resonating the quiet streets of the posh village we were in. I miss those long walks. I miss laughing out loud with no one to care. I miss walking and laughing with my one and only... Christ is alive! I'm alive again, when I'm with her. |
