To get married in this church with 17th century chandeliers and rococo marbled flooring and columns - the San Agustin Church. But we didn't. My wife and I marched down the nearby Basilica of the Immaculate Conception or Manila Cathedral. As a compromise, we had our reception in the equally elegant San Agustin gardens. But little do we know that the beauty that is the church and its garden, underneath is as hair-raising as urban legends we pass around. Under the ground of the San Agustin Church houses the bodies of the illustrious families and governor generals during the Spanish regime? Some say the dungeons are as spooked as those under Paris.
