Robotic Tendencies Photo Friday: Foreign There are times that we feel bogged down by our schedules that we feel we have transformed ourselves into robots. The conundrum of doing the same things day-in day-out leaves us feeling tired and at the end of the day with an empty feeling of non-accomplishment. Is it the in-thing these days to go on living but not leaving our comfort zones? Today I changed my schedule to start with 90 minutes in the gym and 2-hours of field work before heading to the office. I dozed off for several minutes after lunch (Thomas Edison, Einstein and the guy who discovered gravity loved to cat nap, so I'm in good company) and felt ready for another round of work for the rest of the day. The change of pace, the change of sked, takes us away from feeling trapped with our own undoing. It may have been foreign for me to be hitting the treadmill at 8am, but boy, it was a great start to a promising weekend. Happy Weekend everyone! |
