The weather was reminiscent of breeze in another distant continent. An all too familiar below 20s temp. Cool. Might have been the pink sisters' voices too. The mass was solemn, the homily was just right. An after-mass espasol dirtied my shirt, it was like talcum powder long lost forgotten, its taste recoils childhood memories. Coffee near Taal Volcano in a once brimming-with-people place. The lodge, now exclusive to people who'd pay P100 for parking to see the sight of a lake within a volcano, within a lake, that is Taal. Sunday papers were set aside for some heart to heart talk and business planning. By mid morning, we set our sails to a Pottery store at Km 64. Their products are earthen vessels yet their chimes sounded heavenly. We got one for a song, a jar for Ate yet to be brought along. Upon reaching main Aguinaldo Highway, turn right towards Batangas, upon reaching the rotunda (Ninoy Aquino statue), turn right back to old road, towards Jollibee, Chowking restos, and look for signboard of Angels' Hills, turn right and proceed to Pink Sister's convent. |
