We, Three Kings Feast of the Three Kings Paranaque City, Philippines, January 2004 Today, January 6 is the Feast of the Three Kings. The 3 Kings were the reason why we bring gifts to our loved ones on Christmas day. The only question now is the timing of its celebration. Is it the first Sunday or January 6? I understand that last Sunday was the feast. If there was a change of sorts of when to celebrate it, they must challenge the writers of history and the Bible as they would have to change the song, "The 12 Days of Christmas" as the 12th happens to fall on this date, thus today marks the end of the Christmas Season. They would also have to influence how we in the family celebrate Christmas as we never put down our decors and trees up to the end of today. Literally, Christmas is still on. I just had an "inaanak" (godson) visit me in the office a few minutes ago. There are still a few more gifts under my table and at the back of the car's trunk yet delivered. It's still Christmas, until someone says so. |
