To Be A Child, Once More... Audrey and Javi Mandaluyong City, Philippines, January 2004 My wife and I live for kiddie parties! Whenever we're invited in one, just like gift-giving for Christmas, our preparations start from picking up the best gift for the celebrator and ending up as the unofficial party photographer. Sometime in the past, before Party Favors and themed parties were a hit, we were already doing it for our nephews and nieces. We co-host, we make up games, spruce up with handmade decors and add everything a kid would love to have. Last Sunday, the feast of the Sto. Nino, was also a joyous event to be in the company of children. One feels giddy to see babies and kids running endlessly around, shouting with their shrieking voices and with their innocent laughter resonating like tender echoes of butterflies' shuttering through green meadows. Innocent. No cares. No problems. No back pains. No bills to pay. No one to vote for.... Ahhh, to be a child... |
