How's The Weather Up There? Photo Friday: Atmosphere Mont St Michel, Normandy France, June 2003 My theory is that people in the old times built structures to be closer to their gods. This monastery might not be different. It was built up through the ages and in more than 3 centuries, the tip of the monastery can still be seen more than 10 kilometers away (yes, we tried driving away from it, and we were still able to see it). Whatever and however it costs, it is but natural to be close to a supreme being. God knows how my wife and I miss travelling. This is a memento of a monastery in the clouds - Mont St Michel, where the atmosphere is totally different from where I'm sitting at this moment. |
