2 Mile Walk Ends Here, Whew, with a customary footshot
Daily Fare - Costco Hotdogs!
No Car? No Problem
(Redondo to Manhattan Beach, June 2005)
I laced my shoes, wrapped my messenger bag like a Miss Universe sash around my left shoulder with the bag hanging on my right hip. I brought a 16.9 Fl oz bottled water, which is 500ml in the metric system. Back here, they're still using the good ole' English measurements.
I clocked myself and took a deep breath and started walking.
I'm into this regimen of walking the past few months and enjoying the view. But this morning was brought about my own undoing.
I left the lights on the loaned beemer. So the good looking BMW is sitting in the building parking lot, cold and lifeless. The learning there is that German cars are great looking but when they are 4 years old, they stop telling you that you left the lights on. They become dyslexic as they push to their 60s. Maybe the ratio is 1 car year is 15 years to humans, eh?
But it was all good. At day's end, I got the beemer boosted in 5 minutes. So it wasnt a big problem, and I got some pictures to recount my walk as well as my daily Costco hotdog as a prize. Most of all, I got my daily exercise crossed out from my to-do list. The walk, took me 15 minutes, all 1.8 miles of them.
Don’t know what it is in kilometers though. I have no plans of asking the dyslexic beemer to convert it.
