   Lake House Vineland, St. Catherine's Ontario Let's talk about dating. Mitzi and I have been consistent about taking time out to set aside time to date. Uyyyyy! sounds cheesy but it is true. It doesn't have to be a classy resto, or a 5-star hotel/resort but just a movie date over popcorn and Fruitopia. Last week, we finally got to visit one of the restos that we've been intrigued with since we've been driving along the Queenie (QEW) to and from Niagara. Finally we relented and made an exit toward from Victoria Avenue to the intriguing Lake House. THE AMBIENCE - 5 stars - what could beat being in a patio (open only from May to October) and be under the stars with soft newly baked bread and wine to start? If it were a chilly night, there's always the indoor resto to settle. But the lakeview dinner is more romantic right? THE FOOD - 5 stars - to this day, more than a week since, I can still smell and taste (that's how I describe and know good food, if I can remember the smell and taste of the food ewven after a week) of the food we had. Our appetizer included Baked Brie (wrapped in filo pastry with roasted garlic and cranberry served on a bed of warm grilled vegetables and garnished with a sweet red pepper sauce and balsamic drizzle). Wine was served. Of course, you can't beat the freshness of the Catch of the Day - so we just had to have that. THE PRICE - 4.5 stars - for $ 24, for a dish? come on. That's even less than some Manila hotels prices. The serving is so big that you can share the dish with a partner. Just be sure - she's already your wife :) So finally did it! I love looking at Anne Heche's dating timeline, as she has moved from dating men to bi to women, or that Goldie Hawn (who is listed, but doesn't look like 61) has been dating Kurt Russell since 1983 and yes, they've been together for that long! Did you know that Nelly Furtado was Tom's date in between Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz. I didn't. Forget about the rumors that Leonardo does his own make up, but he can disprove this as he has one of the longest portfolio of date headshots, not as long as that of Howard Hughes. Of course, Leonardo played Hughes in his role in "Aviator".
