Honoring the Youth Boston Red Sox Wins 2007 World Series The giant has awaken! The Boston Red Sox are World Series champs again! They've swept the Colorado Rockies to win their 2nd ring in 3 years! The Red Sox stand as the first repeat champion in 9 years in the major league! After the 2004 victory over the St Louis Cardinals, they only needed 3 years to wait to repeat as champs! Before 2004, it was 86 long agonizing years before a Boston team hoisted that baseball trophy...(please do the math) Here are 2 views of Boston's Papelbon upon clinching the last strike in the last inning! Whatajump! ********** Parents can have them as the best examples of perseverance, dedication and teammanship as the organization which were considered failures for decades had the best fans in the world, who never turned their backs away from their endeared team. Children can look up to the Red Sox as the epitome of succeeding due to hard work. Turning the adage which says that "Only in the dictionary will you find success before work." into practice. ********** One thing for sure - the last time the Boston Red Sox lost this year, was the night we were in Boston. :) I jinxed them :) Good thing, since we were in Ottawa for 2 nights, the Ottawa Senators were in New Jersey...the holder of the National Hockey League (NHL)'s best record was able to maintain their winning ways :) My next trip will be in LA...I hope not to jinx the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers who are finding it hard that their marquee player is not giving his 100% in practice. Why will Phil Jackson choose to wash dirty laundry in public? - again, after exposing Kobe as the most hardheaded and most difficult player to coach in his book... Kobe is a winner. If the Lakers can not provide him the cast to help him win it all for them, then it is time for the Lakers and Kobe to part ways. He can be better off with another team who needs him. We will know tomorrow, when Kobe Bryant plays his first game a reluctant Laker. I'm getting tired of baseball, hockey and football! I'm starting to get tired too of the Lakers who don't have plans of winning. But I will hold my piece. The season is about to start and the trade rumors remain just rumors to this day. In any case...I have 10 channels subscribed to simultaneous NBA games...I have stacked up with popcorn, chips, and bottled water- enough to last me til end of the year- what else is to prepare for? Nothing! I say- Let the NBA show begin!!! << |
