My Birthday Cake

I couldn't remember if I blogged enough of my birthday celebrations this year. It was almost like a big sports-themed party. We had a double celebration in Planet Bowl (click "watch in high quality") in Eglinton with almost 30 friends who along with us loved the eating than the bowling. Despite this we all got serious as the Top 8 scorers played for all the marbles in the last game. Someone made 129 - the birthday girl, Mitzi, while I continued enjoying the best pizza and nachos this side of our town, placing 8th out of the top 8 :)

Before flying to Cebu last March 22, I was treated to an exclusive box section viewing of my 2nd Favorite team at the Air Canada. The record-breaking game between the Toronto Raptors and the Miami Heat ended at 96-54. It was more than a record night, having enjoyed it in that exclusive section of Air Canada, but also enjoying it for free! Thanks Pareng Rolly! Only if Shaq wasn't traded or Dwayne Wade was still playing, that game could've been closer. NOT.

This was a sporty birthday to remember. A good and healthy start before turning the big 4-0 next year.

So April is almost over. Today is the 24th and that only means that in 6 days, a new month beckons. The temps have risen from 5 degrees in mid morning to 26 degrees in the afternoon. Time to take out the shorts and flip flops, the buds are starting to break :)

This is also the week that the Cherry Blossoms will come out in High Park..

Expect me to be trekking in that part of Toronto this week :)
