   Perspective Toronto and 2 Other Places When I saw Linnor come up with a countdown to Christmas - less than 120 days now, it finally hit me - on Monday, September 1 - it will be BER months na! We know how it is when BER months hit the Philippines. Christmas songs will be played in MRTs, LRTs, and other public places. There will be people starting their Christmas lists and to those who will be less generous are now trying to schedule their holiday getaway. Haha! ******* The finish line is sometimes an illusion. I saw the video again of the 2004 Olympics Marathon when 15 minutes left into the end of the race, the Brazilian leader of the race had a 90 second lead, was on his way to Gold, was tackled by a deranged priest. Vanderlei de Lima of Brazil was robbed of a Gold Medal, less than 5 miles to the end of the 26 mile marathon. How do we feel if we are nearing the end of a project when suddenly here comes a surprise throwing us from not being able to reach our destination. The marathon runner was badly shaken, psychologically impaired thinking what just happened. He was able to hold the lead and was overtaken into the last mile and lost the chance to win the Gold, won 3rd place. Guess what? de Lima didn't even get mad at the man who tackled him.
