Summer Picnic Kelso Conservation Park, Milton, Canada Summer is over! Was it ever here? I don't recall any day going past 30 degrees. Were there days? I ask this because I spent 3 weeks of great summer (when it was supposed to be rainy season) in Manila. I was blessed to experience sub 30-degree temperature in Iloilo (when a day prior our arrival it was still raining), in Boracay (when a week prior to our coming there were rains) and in Manila (where it started to rain only on the last day, just before we left :). I probably left the sun in Manila. ****************** Sibling Revelry in Singapore It has got to be one of my shortest trips to a foreign land. We spent a total of 54 hours in Singapore. But those days were worthwhile. May invited us for a weekend of both business and pleasure. Good thing te Linnor agreed readily compared to Mama who we had to coax to join us, but to no avail. Paparazzi was just there 3 weeks before us. It was a weekend that was so relaxed and had all the trimmings of fun, frolic and Singaporean food! May picked us up at the airport to welcome us to her new home. It was surreal to see her this time the one playing host. Our first dinner was of course street food. The last time I was in Singapore, all we had were food from hotel. I always wanted to have to use my hands whenever eating Singaporean. So this was my chance! The food was great. The chance to bond with my siblings was memorable and the quality time spent with my nephew and niece was incomparable. More stories in my next blog entry! << |
