Rings for the Lord  Happy 8th Year Anniversary Paranaque City, Philippines, January 2004 Not one that you've read or heard. One you've lived. (Opening Line of "True Love", a book by Robert Fulghum) XL. That's our love story. Extraordinary Love. Although we first met along the hallways of 4th grade, we believe it was from another lifetime that we first chanced upon each other. For 13 years, we went to the same schools, joined the same clubs, were in the same editorial box, but never really took a second look, nor had an opportunity to be introduced. It was as if we were saving the conversation for the rest of our lives. Fast forward to 1991, and again we were together, this time working for the same company. This time, opportunities were never wasted to start a bond that was made on a rock, with a turtle watch and 2 seagulls as our witnesses. A promise sealed in 1996, that we'd never grow old, without being able to serve the Lord through our marriage. A promise not to love one another solely, but to love more than each other. A promise that we are not for keeps, but for each other to be shared to more people, to touch more lives, to live and share the love that the Lord has given us. 8 years, we've worn those Rings for the Lord. 8 years.
