It was almost half an inch thick. I'm not being anal but when I sort them at the end of the month, I sort them by expense category. Then I sort them by date. Then I staple them and compare the totals with my excell file. Guess what comes out as the biggest contributor to our everyday spending (dont count rent and gasoline, I get a portion of that as business expense) - its the GROCERY bill.
The proximity of Longo's (just across the street) and 3 more grocery stores a 3-minute drive away makes it tempting for us to get our food fresh everyday. In fact, I counted 21 days out of the 31 days of March, that's the number of times we bought something from our "Sari-sari store".
Groceries account for almost 15% of our spending. That's just 2 of us :)
