The Day After Mississauga, Canada I was inspired by the sketches from Book Lust that even if I'm not a good sketcher (sounds like a shoebrand), I tried doodling on a post-it and came up with this, rather of the above. I think it is fairly accurate, not only because of last night's birthday dinner at Downtown Toronto's Rivoli (their Pad Thai was A-1, but Mitzi insists some in GTA are a lot better), but because of the puffy cheeks, the disheveled hair, the half open boxers and the pair of socks from last night (complete with a small hole on the big toe). Am no morning person. I do some 5-minute stretching, which actually is my daily exercise*, heads to my home office 10 feet away, taps some keys, checks the emails, goes down and plans (accent on plans), to eat breakfast. My slow morning will be a choice between checking the TV or going outdoors to get the morning papers (but since December has stopped my subs). The pull of the TV is stronger- asking me to watch while the papers are left in the cold til later in the afternoon. I go up my holeoffice to log in and start working and oblivious to time, I'd see that in a short span of 4 hours the whole morning has bade goodbye. All its supposed morning glory. See you again tomorrow - morning. :) ********* * - last night, due to the good weather, we nixed riding the streetcar back to our car behind St. Mike's, and decided to walk back. That in itself, is my exercise until next week :P ********* Other Morning Self Portraits around the Web: * Books Etc * Inkygirl * 3 Muses * RobotJohnny Unlike these pro sketchers (yeah, it still sounds like a brand of sneakers), ok, drawers (sounds sexy), ok artists, a lot better? - they're sketches are great. Mine is just like morning - dull. << |
