Busy as a Bee Mississauga, Ontario I like that quote above and I can attest to the fact of the first line -the more we do, the more we CAN do". So it's been a week since my last update, but lest anyone thinks that Memento is slowly being relegated to the background, hehehe, that's totally unfounded. In fact, the past week was totally about gathering more mementos from our lives. So expect more in the next couple of days! ****** In school, including university, even at work, I was never absent for more than 3 consecutive days. So its not close to happening with Memento. As we've been busy with our GK Youth Build work, we acquired additional strength and energy being surrounded with young people. You don't know what you get from being with the youth. Their creative juices are overflowing and it rubs off to everyone around them. Having lost a step or two, I know for a fact that I was once in their shoes. I'm proud of their dedication and their efforts to make the fundraiser last Saturday a total SUCCESS. Pictures are up in Flickr! ******** Watch the GK Youth Build intro video shown last Saturday: Shameless plug, video was by me :) ******** Being surrounded with Youth made me understand how great a social networking app Facebook is. In fact, a lot better than Multiply or Friendster, if I may say so. I used to work and study social networking sites (since 2003), and even opened several ones from my first job here in Scarborough. Although a late entrant, Facebook really is perfect for Pinoys with the combination of Multiply, Socializr, and Friendster rolled into one. Facebook in the news: o Let's Face it, Facebook is here to stay (Toronto Star) o Politicians banned from site for too much networking o Canadian Government employees banned from Facebook when on the job at least << |
