Footprints in the Sand Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles, CA I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." I was away for business in the land of Mickey Mouse and the silver screen. Within the last 5 days, a lot of things have happened, in the domestic front but also news in and around the Philippines. I'm not even talking about the John and Gretchen lip-locking pic or Ruffa being married and was still married when she exchanged vows with Ylmaz. Nor am I talking about (to the Canucks - it's pronounced as "aboot") Cleveland and Lebron losing badly in the NBA Finals, but the fact that I wasn't able to talk to Paparazzi on Father's Day for the first time in a long while. Mama was there on his behalf. And from what Paparazzi will always say during Mother's Day calls, "If not for Fathers there are no Mother's Day", so in the same vein...we had a long conversation with Mama, on Paparazzi's behalf :) ************ Paparazzi and I have a lot of catching up to do. We are both heading our little ministries here on earth. Papa has been elected, or re-elected, for the nth time as the 13th President of the Our Lady of Fatima Knights of Columbus. While Mitzi and I are heads of the current advocacy, GK Youth Build. I may have taken up from him the zeal of service and carried it on to the next generation. Indeed, am following in his footsteps. ******** After the more than 1 hr of call with Mamarazzi, we never got to call again. Sorry Pa. Is it late to greet, a Happy Father's Day? Well, not if we will celebrate it when the whole of Taiwan celebrates theirs on August 8 :) Nonetheless, its a good thing, we will see each other again in less than a month :) Am so excited. << |
