Your Online Persona Click left side of photo to go to previous entry/ Click the right half of photo to go to the next
I Have a Great Sense of Balance - I wish! You are a brand. We know this. What you want others to see may or may not be a reflection of your true you, but that's your persona. You can hide behind it or you can be proud to shout about it to the high heavens. I do have an online persona. I have a Facebook which has my big fat mug on it. Heck it is called Facebook right? I used to have an Apple pic there, but if it was Fruitbook.com then that's ok. I see myself to have an active day with co-workers, hectic meetings left and right, but in reality I work from home and I can schedule when my meetings will be. Yes it is hectic, sometimes it ends way past midnight, but where can you find a job that you can be by yourself the whole day at home and still be productive. This is a dream job! (That's me speaking, not my online me) My online persona included Second Life and Lively, Multiply and Twitter but those just went to the wayside - the cemetery of dead social networking sites, where Friendster has been since 2004. I have this blog and this other blog to show that (1) I love taking pictures (2) I love travelling and lastly (3) that I don't have a sense of balance - which means, I don't skate, I don't dance and I ski but I oftentimes waste my time trying to stand, trying to ski than really really skiing. So what you see is what you get. I am not applying to any job, so my Facebook activities and pics are ok, besides they are tame. I am not running for any government position so my insights to online divorce or my taste in music is not going to put me out of the running. I have no qualms about posting my picture sleeping or carrying a snake (yes, pre 2004 pics are now down, as the Clubphoto subscription ate all my pics from 2001-to 2004.) So there you go. I wish I could save on gas going to church or to the mall 5 minutes away but first I wish had a sense of balance and I could do in-line skating like the pic above. For now, I'd rather have my online persona show you that I can skate. ************ A couple of weeks back I tried coming up with avatars that could liken me but in a cartoonish manner. Some people have had theirs after and they all look like their cartoons. Very uncanny. Not satisfied with the results, I discarded mine although I haven't cleaned up my wastebasket, until today. So I'm posting my pics, (both of which don't resemble me at all.) One on the left above is a pic of me from 8am to 12 noon, up from bed, ready to go back to bed :) and the other pic on the right is when after showers at 12:00 noon, I am garbed in my favorite white shirt and my Jose Rizal hairdo, working and doing stuff til about 12 midnight. The rest of the day or night, you know how I look like when I'm sleeping :) << |
