   Caught On Film Sherway, Etobicoke, Ontario My father graduated from Philippine Normal College. Yes, you don't get admitted there if you wear a straight jacket and live in isolation in a 3x3 sq ft cell. Ask any anticipating parent what gender she would wish her baby would be, "As long as he is normal". There you go again. I don't want to go to a medical discussion about being normal. For me, it is not being a norm of society or being average makes one normal. I will leave further scientific and mecical discussion to that here. I say I'm living a life that is not normal. It is extra ordinary. It is more than that really. Just imagine among the 4.5 billion people in this world, you get married to a schoolmate, albeit a stranger, since fourth grade who practically lived a parallel life being prepared for the path that will one day cross congruently with mine. That's not normal. One time, we were discussing about how we contend with not buying new shirts which were color coded for sections in school for the Annual Intrams. Our parents will ask us to just use a white shirt and fabric dye. We both went through that ordeal of wearing a slightly different colored shirt than the rest of our classmates. Our classmates with their crisp, bright Php 16.95 Crispa shirts were normal. Both of us weren't? But in a household which speaks of pragmatism and acceptance of innovation to still be able to join the intrams without spending money for a Crispa Redmanized shirt - that for us is Normal. ********* Paolo Coelho writes An inventory of Normality Part of the list are on my list of not to be normal: 7] Trying to be financially successful instead of seeking happiness. 44] Being convinced that being a good, decent and respectful person means that the others will find you weak, vulnerable and easy to manipulate. 45] Being convinced that aggressiveness and discourtesy in treating others are signs of a powerful personality. Why did my favorite author skip it in his list? :P ****** By the way, Paparazzi has his quirks of being quiet for 24 hrs yet he is present physically in all activities.
