Day 2 : Normandy's Scenic View Points Click Thumbnail to View Larger Image
Cote D' Albatre is Normandy's coast nearest to the English Channel. Arriving at Fecamp and proceeding to scenic Etretat, our wandering feet and eyes feasted on the surrounds - worthy of a dozen rolls of films. But restraint allowed us to enjoy them more with our own eyes. Etretat is a must for all travellers to Normandy. The path along the cliffs of Falaise D'Aval reveal two great stone arches - likened to elephants dipping their snouts into the blue waters of the English channel. The views were breath taking. Figuratively and literally, as one has to walk a few hundred meters to reach the top. We climbed the Porte d'Aval and were just amazed by the peace and tranquility on top of a cliff. |
