Green Over Blue Green Over Blue! Tower One, PSE, Ayala Avenue July 2004 Archived Under : Worm's Eye View It's De La Salle vs. Ateneo, today. Green Archers vs. Blue Eagles. Blue Eagles vs. Green Archers. Champions of 5 of the last 6 UAAP Men's Basketball championships. Just like every game between the two, you can throw away the stats, trends or player line ups as both schools go for a win regardless of their standing. Both graduated veteran stars to the pro ranks and have built their line-ups around youth and height. The two teams will definitely make sure that the 20,000 screaming fans in Araneta will have their money's worth and million others glued to the TV will surely NOT regret changing channels, to stick to Ch23 and not to the rivalling showbiz talk shows. Game time is at 4 pm, prepare the popcorn, prepare the beer. Hail Hail Alma Mater or Mary For you. If you ask me - it'd be Green Over Blue! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Phototime Tuesday : Empty At the Back of Mont St Michel Normandy, France Submitted to Phototime Tuesday: Empty This was taken last June 2003, from the back of Mont St Michel, a monastery in France. We planned to join the pilgrims to walk to the next island before high tide (notice the change in colors of the stonewalls? Water level reaches varying heights at given periods of the year). But decided against it at the last minute. Normally, at daybreak and before sunset, pilgrims cross on foot to the next island to reach Mont St Michel and back. Their faith leads them to believe that walking across the sea empties their souls of sin and also becomes an intercession for their sick relatives whose pictures they carry in their pockets. To empty ourselves with transgressions, we realized we didn't have to cross the channel. By communing with nature, by being one with our master, by being at peace with ourselves, we felt that was enough emptying. After several minutes, the place was empty of people who already started their walk, we were left behind. The place was empty but we felt the fullness of life. |
