Cake! Jumping for Joy! Beeing Free! Images of Happiness Canada There's a misconception that we can only be truly happy when we get married, when we have enough money or when we find the perfect job. What is wrong about the conditional statement above is that our happiness is hinging on something in the future. Take the example above: We say we can only marry if we are stable and have enough savings. Sometimes we can only have enough money and save if we land the perfect job. Then we say we can't do anything because the job that we have is not perfect enough to allow us to save money and be married. What a paradox! Life is a race with hurdles, one after the other. The obstacles will always be there created by people around us, or even self-created. So why not be happy now? Today is the perfect time to be happy! Just remember, "Happiness is a journey and not a destination!" ********* September seems to be a happy month. This week my brother and dad-in-law celebrated their birthdays back to back, while next week, my niece and Mamarazzi will have theirs. Then my favorite niece, Zia-pot will turn 3. (Just 3???) Good thing our balikbayan box was filled with goodies to add to their happiness! Happy Birthday to all September celebrators! ******** WAS OUT OF THE OFFICE EARLIER I went to the By the way, I didn't buy any of the two. I was just interested to listen to all the hype. I'm a happy camper with my 80's music. :) ******* Prince feels very strongly that people should remember his concerts as they were, not as some grainy mobile phone footagePrince gets tough on web pirates. I'm curious how he and the group will be able to do it. Very interesting. ******* Get Ready for Some House Music One of the most awaited soundtracks (sad to say Grey's Anatomy's 3rd installment falls several notches lower in terms of quality than the first 2) is House's soundtrack, soon to be released next month. It includes a few of the many great stuff the show provides most of its poignant scenes. One thing to look forward to is the last song, "You Can't Always Get What You Want." Performed as the "Band from TV" (not really an original idea) but is a unique group featuring The Bachelor's Bob Guiney doing vocals with Kitchen Confidential's Bonnie Somerville, backed up by Heroes' Greg Grunberg on drums, Desperate Housewives' James Denton on guitar and no less than House M.D.'s own Hugh Laurie on keyboards. ******** Music makes me happy! I spent 3 hours in the store - without buying anything. I probably would be banned next time. (Banned and not a music band - heh!) << |
